Here are some of the common responses I get. I would but I don't have enough time.Yet how much time have you spent watching TV or playing computer games or idly surfing the web etc? If you really want to be creative you'll make the time to be creative. I would but I don't have the right skills, or I'm not good enough yet. Then what are you doing to gain the skills required? Dive in and start doing. You'll figure it out and learn as you go. If you hold off waiting till the right time, the right time will never come. I would but I'm just thinking it over and seeing what other alternatives there are.And I'm willing to bet that if I ask you again in 10 years time I'll get the same answer. Start working on your current idea. It's the best way to discover what works and what doesn't and then tweak, refine and experiment from there. I would but I don't know where to start.Making the first step is often the hardest. Most people don't like to take the first step until they can see the next 10 steps and are confident they can step them. Sadly this is rarely the case. Take the first step anyway and you'll find the othes start making themselves visible. I would but ...There are many other reasons you can probably concoct. Whenever you hear yourself saying those magical words it's probably a good time to take a step back and ask yourself if it really is so. Just Do It!All the above reasons are not really reasons. They are excuses. Most likely they are a comfortable and easy way to hide the true fact which is you are fearful. You could be fearful that you might fail, or that you may succeed beyond your wildest dreams or some other reason. Realise that fear is perfectly normal and this doesn't mean you can't do it. Embrace the fear and break through it. It will be exhilirating and exciting and one of the best things you have ever done. Once you dive in the ball will start rolling and it will all start falling into place. Don't worry if you don't know all the answers yet, they will make themselves known as you progress. What is really holding you back from realising your true creative brilliance? Nothing! Now get out there and start being creative.
