Epizeuxis

Friday, 14 October 2011   |   Creativity Challenges

CollaborationEpizeuxis is a word I stumbled across recently and figured it was silly enough that it had to be a made up word.  Then I looked it up and lo and behold,  it was a real word.  It's when you repeat a word several times in immediate succession.  The aim is to create emphasis in a striking way.  I thought it was very, very, very cool so it is the basis for this weeks challenge.

This weeks challenge is to use epizeuxis in a statement at least once every day this week.

But don't just use it for the sake of using it.  Try and find opportunities where it will really add value.  Try and use a repeating word that is striking and draws attention.  If spoken,  make your voice really resonate.

Have fun and remember to be creative, creative, creative!

Remember to check back next Friday when our next Creativity Challenge will be released.
