Book Spine Poetry

Book Spine PoetryWe live in a world of ever growing complexity.  My phone now has more power and features than my computer used to have 10 years ago.  My local supermarket has more breakfast cereals than I'm sure we need and even more types of milk to put on top of it.  Yet the simple things in life still remain the best.  I came across this simple yet fun activity with plenty of possibility for creativity and figured it just had to be one of our creativity challenges.

Your challenge this week is to create a Book Spine Statement.

That is,  place a set of books on top of each other such that the words on the spine say something interesting.  It could be a piece of poetry,  a sentence, a statement, something funny etc.  It doesn't matter as long as what it says is interesting or through provoking.

If you don't have a large source of inspiration in your book collection at home then venture down to your local library or book store.

I found this activity originally here.

Have fun and if you come up with something particularly good, leave us a comment and share it.

I sense creativity in you.  Use it to it's fullest.
