Predict the Future

Monday, 23 May 2011   |   Creativity Games

ClockThis week we're looking to the future.

Game:  There are three random words listed below.  Your aim is to use one or more of them as inspiration for a prediction about the future.  You can be humorous or serious,  it doesn't matter.  Remember the focus is on being as creative as possible.

  • cupboard
  • bishop
  • coat

Challenge:  For extra challenge,  use all three words.

Strategy:  "The best way to predict the future is to create it."  This is a famous quote by Abraham Lincoln, Allan Kay or Peter Drucker depending on who you believe.  We can't predict the future accurately,  yet,  but we can have fun doing so.  Thinking about the future also gives us a chance to think about the past and present and gain a better understanding of them.  Maybe even see them from a different perspective.  Take every opportunity you can to think about what the future could be,  and every chance you get to try and turn it into that.

Remember to come back next Monday for our next Creativity Game.
